2. Marketplace Model

The Country Shop Online is a curated marketplace featuring handmade and locally produced products from independent local vendors in the Stilbaai area. Products are made by the vendors themselves.

The Stilbaai Tourism Bureau manages the online storefront, product packaging, shipping, customer service, and payment processing. The bureau operates as the selling entity under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and is responsible for all customer-facing transactions.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include the bureau's commission. Prices are final unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs are calculated and added at checkout.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to change prices at any time without prior notice.

4. Payment

All payments are processed securely through Yoco. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment must be completed before an order is confirmed. You will receive an email confirmation with your order details once payment has been successfully processed.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping methods and estimated delivery times are detailed in our Returns & Shipping Policy. All delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery.

6. Returns & Refunds

Our returns policy is compliant with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Full details, including which items are eligible for return and the process for initiating a return, are set out in our Returns & Shipping Policy.

7. Product Accuracy

We describe all products as accurately as possible. Product photographs are representative of the item you will receive. However, as our products are handmade, slight variations in colour, size, texture, and finish are normal and expected. Such variations are inherent to handmade goods and are not considered defects.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The bureau's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the purchase price of the relevant order.
  • The bureau is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or purchase of products.
  • The bureau will assist with courier claims for lost or damaged parcels but cannot guarantee delivery timeframes set by third-party couriers.

9. Platform Availability

We make every effort to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The website may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

10. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with POPIA.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
